Signings Update

It has been reported that Eddie Malone has signed a new contract at Somerset Park. Malone, who scored the winner in Clyde's famous Scottish Cup victory against Celtic, joined the Honest Men after featuring as trialist away to East Fife.

The Ayr Advertiser Reported that former St Johnstone and Morton Goalie, Kevin Cuthbert will be an Honest Man, subject to a medical. Ayr Gaffer, Brian Reid told the Advertiser's "SportScene" that he was interested in Cuthbert when he was still at St Johnstone.

The Advertiser also wrote of three other players that could be Ayr Players soon (including a SPL striker). Although Brian Reid is keeping his cards close to his chest, players linked with Ayr are Mark Campbell, Brother of Martyn and former Ayr, Falkirk and Raith, who still resides in Ayrshire, John Robertson, who played in the same Ayr team as Campbell, who had reportedly been spotted at Somerset Park, Stewart Kean, who had recently been released by Morton recently and still holds the record for youngest player to score for Ayr United and Andy Geggan, who's name has been associated with Ayr since the beginning of the transfer window.
